Not entirely surprising. Egg had been selling money at a loss for a while, which is obviously not viable in the long term. I'd heard that they'd started to be a bit more sensible of late, but I haven't checked recently, so perhaps they're profitable now.

nope....they lost £120 odd million last year...

they were starting to think differently - but not sure what will happen now.
