Whitby....off season

jezebelblueBut with another important reason....off to pick up my pirate fairy outfit from Helen....aka TPF....an amazing woman with amazing talent....
After what was a ridiculous 5 hour journey to Hartlepool (stupid engineering), I got to there...A pick up from Stuart and a quick stop at his, oh and a quick stop at Tesco and then some food and we were off to Whitby. This time the moors did not give us horrible fog and rain, but I still grab the seat with some fun kind of roller coaster fear at some points (not due to Stuart's driving!)...
Parked, the walk to Helen's (I worked off about a gazillion calories this weekend)...and we were there...Helen showed me the bits and bobs and we tried them on over my clothes...wow! excited was not the word.
But it was time for drinks!
After kidnapping Emma (sort of, we went, were promised she would come later)...which involved climbing stairs in the dark....we were at the Shambles...lots of giggles, drinks, silliness...Emma and her friend Tim joined...met up briefly with Will, the manager of Shambles, and then off of to Rosie's, where Tom from the Shambles joined us...more laughs, at least three pints spilled (blasphemy!)...and then a walk back to Helen's...for sleep!
Morning came...and after a stop/start beginning....went off to do the photo shoot...Hats off (or should I say tricon?) to Helen. She made this old, very amateur lady/model look good thanks to her photographic and photoshop abilities....(kudos that those who model....lots harder than anyone thinks)
Some lazying about....a brekkie/lunch in town with Stuart and then more idling....I watched kid's movies that made me cry...Kyte was amazingly sweet..and the videos of Stuart playing with him are priceless. 'Oh no!' will be a sound that I will hear in my head for days...
And then it was off to Hartlepool and the train station and I left....Four hours later, I was back home.
Besides the fact I now have one of the most amazing outfits ever, that there are new ideas in the pipeline for more (I need to get a new job!), I am so lucky to have such amazing people in my life. My Hartlepool friends, my Whitby friends, my London friends, my Nottingham friends, my York friends, my Bristol friends, my Belfast friends, my Dublin friends, my various around the UK and Ireland friends....they are the most generous, supportive, loving, caring, sweet, funny, ridiculous, silly people I know...And if offered the £113m from Euro millions....I wouldn't trade.

And although I want to be selfish...if you want a lovely friend, who makes every moment of pain somehow serene and manageable, is silly and stupid and frustrating....and one of the most intelligent people I know...I'll introduce you to Stuart...
Oh and if you want to play with one of the most adorable almost 3 year olds...I can introduce you to Kyte...he makes me smile now just thinking about him.
